#progress and #illustration

The cooperative comic book is still in progress, even though it is very slow. It doesn't matter, I knew it would be a long side-project, and I love the result. I am so proud that illustrators such as Andrea Ferrara and John Carvajal have accepted to work on this book! And I hope there will be many more.

Progress:

- Part 04 
It was illustrated by Andrea Ferrara and you can already read it on the site (www.monvillageestmagique.fr)

- Part 05
It was accepted by Yawen Zheng, unfortunately she will definetely not have the time - which I totally understand - so I am looking for a new illustrator.

- Part 06
John has finished his 4 pages for part 06 of the book, and the result is great, but I am hesitant to show them all as long as part 05 has not been created. It is better if you discover the story in the right order! 

- Part xx
(I don't remember the number) has been accepted by Simon Demaret and I will show the result soon! His first illustration was really interesting. 

I think I will try to draw another part myself, someday. The first pages I did (part 02) were created in 3D for an animated short film, and were not meant to be used as pictures for this comic book. I still like the result, but I think I can try to do something different with pencils and watercolors on another part. As soon as I have the time.

In the meantime, I would like to share some illustrations I made in my sketchbook and which are related to MVEM. I hope you like them, and want to read more of the story!

If it is not your first visit on this blog, you probably know a little bit our 2 heros Seb and little Tommy. They have been going on holidays this Summer, and they seemed to have a lot of fun!

I can now share all the pages of Andrea with you. I have finished adding the texts in the bubbles and they were kindly proofed by Roger RKT from The Icehouse.

Andrea's page6

Here's the last page of Andrea's part! It was his last piece of work for Mon Village est Magique.

Soon I will upload the final result with texts on monvillageestmagique.fr which will be better to read the story.

After Andrea, I will look for another artist to continue working on the project !

Andrea has been very (VERY) very busy during the last months, but he bravely decided to take on his spare time at night to finish his 2 last pages for the MVEM comic.

I am very happy to present his 5th page, which I still love has much as the previous ones, and I am confident to show his 6th and last page very soon.

This is the amazing 4th page illustrated by the talented Andrea Ferrara :)
Andrea was very happy to work on interior places and he was very inspired. The result is excellent!
Only 2 pages left to go, and then I'll add the texts and post the result on the main site.

Finally Andrea has shared the 3rd page for his part of the book! He's now half the way to complete his 6 pages in total!

I'm so happy! Andrea has finished his second page on the project, and it's getting better all the time. I just love the face of the sheep, and little Tommy is very funny too.
Andrea's art is perfect for MVEM. Everything was drawn by hand with china ink, and colored later in photoshop.

In this page, Tommy is playing soccer while the rest of his family his resting after the lunch. The sheep tell him that someone is arriving, and when Tommy looks behind, he can recognize his Grandma.

The third page is making good progress too, so you can expect to see it next week :) So great!
